Viateur Roy

Viateur Roy was born in 1992 in Trois Rivières, Quebec. He currently studies with Patrick Robin and has been his assistant since 2009 upon his graduation from the "Ecole Nationale de Lutherie de Mirecourt" in France. Holding a diploma from the Quebec National School of Furniture Making, he has had much experience in woodworking: staircases, joinery, and furniture-making, after his early experience at the family sawmill.
His musical interests have included singing with the "Petits Chanteurs de Trois Rivières" in Quebec and studying the cello. These rich and varied experiences eventually brought him to the art of musical instrument making, thus “joining” his two passions of music and woodworking.

Antoine Cauche

Antoine Cauche was born in 1979 in Toulouse and graduated from the Newark Violin Making School in 2001. Until 2008 he was Patrick Robin’s student and assistant. He has now established his own workshop. His work has been recognised in the following International violin making competitions : Three First Prizes for a baroque violin at the British Violin Making Association competition in London in 2004. A Gold medal for a cello and a Silver medal for a violin at the Violin Society of America in 2008. A Gold medal, the Sacconi Prize, for a viola in the Cremona Triennale in 2009. Cello prizes, at the Violoncelle en Seine competition, Paris 2010.

Marcus Klimke

Marcus Klimke was born in 1968 in Weimar, Germany. He joined the Mittenwald Shool of Violin Making where he graduated in 1992. He worked in Michael Becker’s studio in Chicago until 1995 and then joined the workshop of Patrick Robin and Andrea Frandsen in Angers. He assisted them and perfected his skills as a maker until establishing his own shop in Angers in 2001.Marcus Klimke has received many distinctions for his instruments in International Competitions: A Gold medal for a viola in the Cremona Triennale in 2000. A Gold medal for a viola in the Violin Society of America Competition in 2000. A Silver Medal for a violin at the Wieniawski Violin Making Competition in Poznan in 2011.
